ATLANTIS PRODUCES THE HARDWARE AND THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE FOR ALICANTE WATER MUSEUM M2A
Atlantis Virtual Reality has developed the first virtual waterfall, among other visual effects, measuring 6 meters high and 4 meters wide for Alicante Water Museum, located in Pozos de Garrigós (Alicante). This simulation has been designed by a complex estimation of particles’ emission that causes the complicated effect of an enormous waterfall in motion.
Atlantis VR, company from Elche with more than 15 years of experience, has designed for its client Aguas Municipalizadas de Alicante Empresa Mixta all the virtual systems and contents for the M2A museum.
Among the simulations exhibited in the museum, visitors will have the opportunity to witness in a completely surrounding way the course of the water, from its formation as a spectacular storm, to a giant whirlpool, including underground currents, interactive water on the ground and the filling and emptying of wells.
The museum offers visitors a wide variety of information tools in order to explain the evolution of the city which is directly related to the management of the Water.
This information is presented through exhibition panels, videos, infographics and through an innovative system of projection that, by using three big areas, makes possible the visualization of 3D recreations, dates and data about the population of Alicante from the Neolithic period to the current era.
On the upper floor, visitors will find an original recreation of a green area provided with interactive applications that help to understand many of the characteristics and functions of the water.
Atlantis Manager Noelia López explains that since they started working for its client in July, they have been investigating about how to display all this information in such a unique way to turn this museum into a worldwide benchmark.
After the inauguration and as a result of having extraordinarily combined history, fantasy and science fiction, the museum was called the new museum of the 21st century.
